Writers' League of Texas Book Awards recognize outstanding published books each
year in five categories, Nonfiction, Fiction, Poetry & Literary Prose, Children's
books (long works) and Children's books (short works). 2010 ContestThe
2010 Writers' League of Texas Book Awards will recognize outstanding books published
in the following categories: - Fiction
- Nonfiction
- Poetry
& Literary Prose
- Childrens books (short works)
- Childrens
books (long works)
The 2010 contest is open to American authors
of books published in 2009. (Note: The Books copyright page must show the
2009 date.) Authors are not required to be members of the Writers League
of Texas.
Entry fee: $35 per title / $25 per title for WLT members
only Deadline extended: March 15, 2010
Prize: Winners
in each category receive a $1000 cash prize, a commemorative award and an appearance
