ASTRONOMY
This magazine serves readers who want to keep up with the latest discoveries and understand astronomical science, as well as those who want to know what is happening in the sky each month. To query on an article idea, send a letter or an outline that describes the piece. If you have not been published in Astronomy, please send writing samples along with your letter. AUSTIN STATE OF MIND
Austin State of Mind seeks 800-1000 word articles on the community's role as a creative force in the lives of writers, musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs. For more information and submission guidelines, click here.

AT LENGTH
Each issue of At Length consists of one novella/long story (minimum 10,000 words) and one long poem or sequence of poems (minimum 10 single-spaced pages). There is no upper limit on length. The journal is published on a quarterly basis. Submissions are only accepted electronically. Please send a Word document or Rich Text file to submissions@atlengthmag.com. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable, but the accompanying email should clearly note that the work is under consideration elsewhere, and immediate notification should be given if the work is no longer available. THE CATALYST FOR YOUR PASSIONATE PET
Mindy Reed and Bob Harvey have joined forces for a monthly e-zine with the theme "The Catalyst for Your Passionate Pet Pursuits." Articles, essays, tips, news events, and short fiction may be submitted for consideration via email to Mindy at MindyRed@aol.com.

FARFELU
Farfelu, an Austin non-profit literature and arts magazine, is seeking submissions in all genres (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, paintings, drawings, cartoons, and photographs) for its Spring issue. Though they accept submissions year-round, the deadline for spring is February 10. Submission guidelines and other information may found at Farfelu's website.

GREAT AMERICAN POETRY SHOW, THE
The Great American Poetry Show is a serial poetry anthology open year-round to submissions of poems in any subject, in any style, and in any number. HerCircle
HerCircle is a new e-zine dedicated to the celebration and exploration of the feminine experience in the world community. Their goal is to promote awareness, understanding and respect for women across cultural lines through intelligent works of writing, art, and photography by women around the globe. KIDZWONDER, for ages 7-14, LITTLE KIDZWONDER, for ages 3-6, two free online magazines, and are currently accepting articles. Editors are open to health articles and stories about holidays, special festivals, and anything kids would like. Email submissions of no more than 400 words.

LATINO BOOM ANTHOLOGY
The editors of Latino Boom: An Anthology of U.S. Latino Literature and LatinoStories.com are accepting previously published scholarly essays, books, book reviews, and interviews that focus on U.S. Latino literature to which contributors hold rights. The purpose of the project is to revive and keep alive scholarly and analytical works that were published in the past but may not be easily accessible (e.g., the work is out of print or it may have been originally published for a limited audience). LA CHANCE PUBLISHING
LaChance Publishing seeks submissions of manuscripts for its internationally distributed "Voices Of" series of anthologies. "Voices Of" books "feature true, unpublished stories of literary merit and real emotional impact about chronic illness and disease. Written by those directly affected, as well as by caregivers, family members and friends, the stories courageously confront these life-altering issues and affirm the strength of the human spirit." Mockingbird Books is actively seeking submissions for a limited number of non-fiction books that appeal to adult Texas residents and visitors. They will consider books about history, nature, the environment, gardening, cooking, regional attractions, current topics and other creative non-fiction.
