WEDNESDAYS, 1:30-4:30 PM (Gruene)
Weekly Novel Writer's Workshop, in depth discussions of works in progress at the River House Tea Room in historic Gruene, Texas. A relaxed social setting allows for deep focus on each writer's work with prolonged personal feedback and consideration of craft. The Workshop is free but participants do buy drinks or food from Chef Carol Hill's excellent kitchen.

The Crossings, in collaboration with Wisdom at Work, a local non-profit dedicated to the spiritual well-being and personal fulfillment of individuals and their organizations, will host an open book study group to explore important and meaningful books in a conversation café format starting with Presence: Human Purpose and the Field of the Future by Peter Senge, C. Otto Scharmer, Joseph Jaworski and Betty Sue Flowers. Based on years of personal experience and extensive research by leaders in the field of systems and organizational change, this book offers a profound journey of discovery into our collective capacity for stillness and being present to the process of emergence. GEORGETOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY/ SAN GABRIEL WRITER'S LEAGUE, (Georgetown)
The Georgetown Library and the San Gabriel Writer's League are sponsor a writer's college with fall and winter classes. The objectives are to bring experienced, published authors to teach the fundamentals of creative writing in various genres, as well as to provide insight into how to write, and sell their work.
