with the 2009 Summer Writing Retreat at Sul Ross State
University in scenic Alpine, deep in the heart of West
Texas.

Students sign up for one workshop in fiction, nonfiction,
or poetry taught by one of four top authors. Small class
sizes and personalized instruction will help you develop
as a writer and hone your craft.

Students can finish off the week of writing by staying
in Alpine for the 2009
Way Out West Texas Book Festival on August 1, which
will feature appearances by the Summer Writing Retreat
instructors, along with an array of other authors.
Tuition
Early Rate (through June 15): $199 WLT members / $249
nonmembers
Regular Rate (after June 15): $249 WLT members / $299
nonmembers
Note: Tuition does not include room and board.

Accommodations
Students can reserve rooms in the Sul Ross State University
Residence halls for approximately $30 per night double
occupancy ($60 single occupancy). Other accommodations
in Alpine are available here.
Details on residence hall reservations and any additional

in May.
