We can all name a character or two who have stayed with us.
But what makes a character feel memorable, authentic, and persuasive? What tools do writers use to create nuance and multidimensionality in the people they invent? In this class, we’ll discuss the characters who have stayed with us and why, while examining the specific craft strategies — including point of view, dialogue, and dramatization — that authors use to conjure them.
TAKE THIS CLASS IF
- You’re a fiction writer.
- You’re interested in creating more memorable and dynamic characterization.
- You want to work on sharper dialogue or deepening point of view.
The deadline to register for this class is Wednesday, November 30 at 5:00 PM CDT.
