The One Page Salon (called “the best literary evening in town” by the Austin American-Statesman) is a monthly reading series presented by the Writers’ League of Texas.
Five outstanding writers will read one page from a work in progress, which means the audience will be among the first to hear new material from our talented line-up: Dale Bridges, Hollie Hardy, Greg Marshall, Sergio Muro, and Bianca Alyssa Pérez. Plus, there will be literary chit chat and fun & games and laughter and so much more.
The One Page Salon takes place on the lovely outdoor patio (weather permitting) at Radio Coffee & Beer in South Austin where attendees can enjoy coffee and beer and other libations. There are some tasty food trucks if you want to pick up a bite to eat and Reverie Books will be on hand selling an assortment of great reads, including our readers’ latest books. Your host for the evening will be WLT Executive Director Becka Oliver.

Dale Bridges is a fiction writer, essayist, and painter. His work has appeared in more than thirty publications, including The Rumpus, The Masters Review, and Barrelhouse Magazine. For several years, he was the arts-and-entertainment editor at the Boulder Weekly, where he won journalism awards for his feature writing and cultural criticism. He has published a book of short stories and a novel. He currently works at the downtown library and lives in North Austin with two very needy cats. -
Hollie Hardy is an Austin-based poet, educator, and author of Lions Like Us (forthcoming from Red Light Lit Press, May 2024) and How to Take a Bullet: And Other Survival Poems (Punk Hostage Press, 2014). She holds an MFA in Poetry from SFSU, teaches private writing workshops online and hosts the long-running monthly reading series Saturday Night Special: A Virtual Open Mic. Every April, in honor of National Poetry Month, she facilitates a 30-Poems-in-30-Days Writing Challenge. Her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including the recent Mixed Bag of Tricks: A Short Story Anthology benefiting the Writers’ League of Texas. Greg Marshall grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. A National Endowment for the Arts Fellow in Prose, Marshall is a graduate of the Michener Center for Writers and the Medill School of Journalism. His work has appeared in The Best American Essays and been supported by MacDowell and the Corporation of Yaddo. Marshall's memoir, Leg, was a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award and the Randy Shilts Award. -
Sergio Muro is a fiction writer and poet from South Texas currently based in Austin. He is currently working on two short story collections — While You Were Away and Meet Me in Aztlán — that focus on Mexican diasporic experiences. -
Bianca Alyssa Pérez is a poet, educator, and editor from South Texas. Her chapbook, Gemini Gospel, was the winner of Host Publication's Chapbook Contest in Spring 2023. Her debut poetry collection, snake breath, is the winner of Hub City Press' 2026 Deep Line Poetry Prize and is forthcoming Spring 2027. Her work is published in these beautiful places: Porter House Review, Infrarrealista Review, New York Quarterly, Poetry Daily, Praisesong for the People Anthology (edited by Amanda Johnston), The Texas Observer, The Baltimore Review, the Bangalore Review & forthcoming in an anthology from The University of Nevada Press. She is the co-host of the horror podcast, Basement Girls, with writer, Steph Grossman. She is also the Director of the Katherine Anne Porter Visiting Writers Series at Texas State University. Class & Event Registration Policy
Once a purchase has been made, registrations are not refundable and cannot be transferred to a different class or event. No exceptions will be made. If you purchase a registration and then find you cannot attend the class or event, someone else can attend in your stead. Simply contact us at wlt@writersleague.org and let us know the name and contact information for the person who will be using the registration so that we can update the class or event roster.

Anti-Harassment Policy
The Writers’ League of Texas is dedicated to providing harassment-free spaces for everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Violating these rules may result in expulsion from WLT programs without a refund at the discretion of the WLT staff.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
- Comments that reinforce social structures of domination (related to gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age, or religion);
- Sexual images not appropriate for the specific subject of the public discussion;
- Deliberate intimidation or stalking;
- Harassing photography or recording;
- Sustained disruption of discussions or other events;
- Unwelcome sexual attention;
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
Enforcement
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, event organizers retain the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants. This includes warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund. Event organizers may take action to redress anything designed to, or with the clear impact of, disrupting the event or making the environment hostile for any participants. We expect participants to follow these rules during all events and event-related social activities.
Reporting
If someone makes you or anyone else feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it as soon as possible. Reports can also be made via email at wlt@writersleague.org. We’ll handle any and all reports as respectfully as possible. You won’t be asked to confront anyone, and we won’t tell anyone who you are.

Credit Card Transaction Handling Fee Policy
