Can’t make it to the live class? No problem! All classes are recorded and made available to class registrants for one month.
Residencies, fellowships, and grants offer time and money to help launch your career as a successful writer.
Imagine getting to have a Thoreau-like moment where you spend a month or two in a cabin just tinkering with your book. Or imagine sharing a potluck dinner with artists, musicians, poets, writers from all over the world. Residencies offer a life-changing opportunity to live each day as a writer. Fellowships and grants provide financial support, so that you can fully devote your time to growing an idea or finishing a project. Like all things in the writing world–applying for residencies, fellowships, and grants is a competitive arena.
This class will guide you to the best opportunities for you and help you craft a standout application that plays to your unique strengths. Students will learn how to find residencies, fellowships, and grants, how to determine if they’re a good fit for them, the elements that make for standout applications, what a writer’s resume (a CV) is and how to create one, and tips on getting organized for the application process.
TAKE THIS CLASS IF:
The deadline to register for this class is Friday, December 1 at 5:00 PM CST.
