A few times a year, we’ll be inviting our staff, board members, instructors, presenters, and other guests to come together for a special invitation only program followed by a group discussion. Each program will center around a topic we think would be of interest to the group and there will be opportunities for our participants to share their ideas as we shape the series.
For this first WLT Continuing Conversations event, we’re excited to partner with the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum for a program on what it means to be an Upstander.
Program Description:
WLT Continuing Conversations: “What is an Upstander?”
Join the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum’s Ackerman Family Director of Education, Dr. Charlotte Decoster, for an interactive exploration of Upstander and bystander behavior. This presentation breaks down the stereotypical views of these human behaviors using examples of Upstander writers in history. Participants are asked to reflect on their choices and inspired to take steps toward Upstander behavior.
We hope you can join us on Saturday, October 23! Please do RSVP by Monday, October 19 at 5:00 PM CDT. Space will be limited to 50 attendees, so the sooner you reply, the better! (edited)
