Have you ever wanted to write a screenplay but didn’t know where to start? Have you started but want to fine tune your skills and workshop your ideas? This is the class for indie screenwriters who are done waiting for permission.

This screenwriting class cannot promise you the perfect formula for Hollywood success. The teacher is not a guru. She’s just a writer—like you. This class will grant you the opportunity to learn more about brainstorming, writing prep, screenplay format, and structure. You’ll also get your questions answered about the business of bringing your scripts to the big screen without Big Hollywood connections.

TUNE IN IF:

  • You want to learn the basics of screenplay formatting.
  • You want to get started with one-on-one support.
  • You have questions about the differences between short, feature, and TV pilot scripts.
  • You have questions about writing proof-of-concept short films for your bigger ideas.
  • You have questions about accessing grants and contests.
  • You have questions about what film festivals are looking for.
  • You have questions about what independent film studios are looking for.
  • You have questions about how to stop waiting for permission, assemble your team, and write a low budget movie.
  • You have questions about how to land a literary manager.

The deadline to register for this class is Wednesday, October 21 at 5:00 PM CT.

Can’t make it to the live class? No problem! All classes are recorded and made available to students until January 31, 2027.
