Most of our programming discusses topics on the craft and business of writing, but we don’t often get to talk about what it’s like to be a human who happens to be a writer. WLT On the Writing Life provides free presentations from writers and professionals on best practices for the writing life, from mental health discussions to yoga for writers, there’s something for everyone.

About the event:

In this fun and informative presentation, author and therapist Heather Harper Ellett explores the relationship between creativity and anxiety and depression, while presenting a hopeful, productive framework for working with big emotions. Participants will leave with five transformative writing exercises and quick-and-dirty tips for channeling inner tumult into powerful creative output. Join us! It’s cheaper than therapy.
