We’ve had a lot of fun with contests this spring. We love to give our members and the writers who attend our conferences the chance to win, not just prizes, but opportunities. And here comes one of the best parts: announcing winners! We hope you win, in some way large or small, this weekend.

Agent Laurie McClean Selects Hamilton Beazley as the Winner of her YA A To Z Pitch Challenge
At our YA A to Z Conference, agent Laurie McLean of Larsen-Pomada Literary Agents invited conference attendees to pitch her all weekend long and from those pitches, she promised to pick one for a full manuscript read! Laurie selected the pitch of Hamilton Beazley. Thanks to everyone who participated, and a big congratulations to Hamilton!
And the Winner of the Agents Conference Facebook Contest is…
Katie Schnack! Congratulations to Katie, who was randomly drawn as the winner of the contest, and who will receive a 15 minute author platform consultation with PR pro Rusty Shelton of Shelton Interactive! We love Katie’s explanation of why she’s excited for the Agents Conference:
Looking forward to meeting other people that share my passion for writing! There are not to many others in my home office, unless my obese cat is an undercover literary genius. Also, very excited for my agent consultation and to pitch my book to anyone who will listen. And, to just learn learn learn.
There’s Still Time to Enter and Win!
We’ll be running contests all month and up to the date of the 2011 Agents Conference on June 10-12. Check back here for another contest, starting Monday!
And if you haven’t registered for the Agents Conference yet, you can do it right here!
