The Bess Whitehead Scott Journalism Scholarship is awarded by the Writers’ League annually to a junior or senior university student pursuing a degree in journalism or a related field. WLT volunteers will be out in droves this holiday season, wrapping gifts at four Austin-area locations (BookPeople, B&N Arboretum, Westlake, and Sunset Valley) to raise funds for this important scholarship.
Support the scholarship fund by shopping during our wrapping shifts, having your purchases wrapped, and tipping the volunteers.
The tips received will fund the writing scholarships awarded in 2010. Come see us on the following dates:
