Scribe: In what genre(s) do you write?
Regina Morris: I write humorous paranormal romances. My current series (“The Colony”) focuses on vampires. I prefer the light-hearted paranormal stories to the dark and gory ones.
Scribe: What authors would you like to have coffee or a beer with and which beverage?
RM: Tea with Kerrelyn Sparks, Lynsay Sands and JR Ward. These ladies are three of my all time favorite authors and they write in the same genre I do. My writing has been compared to their writing (which I feel very flattered by), and overall I think I would just enjoy their company. Their stories are humorous and I think they’d be a lot of fun to be around.
Scribe: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what book would you want to have with you to keep you sane?
RM: Just one? Seriously? Hmm … probably a survival book on how to live out in the wild, or maybe a book about raft building. For fiction … I’d have to choose a long book if it’s the only one I could have. I really don’t know.
Scribe: What have you learned from your association with the Writers League?
RM: I’ve taken a lot of the WLT classes. I’ve learned how to self edit, self publish and how to market my books. I’ve also learned the importance of being connected with a writing community.
Scribe: Where do you see your writing taking you (or you taking it) in the future?
RM: I would love to see my books in foreign languages. I’d also love to afford the luxury of quitting my day job so I could just write for a living.
Scribe: Is there anything else about you that you would like to share with the world?
RM: My current series (available books are “Eternal Service” and “United Service”) is in the genre of paranormal romance. I have another two series I plan to write. One is an historical romance and the other one is a YA time travel murder mystery. My fan page and website will have updates about all my novels. I hope the WLT members will take a moment to learn more about my books: https://www.facebook.com/ReginaAnnMorris , http://www.reginamorris.com .
