Scribe: In what genre(s) do you write?
Angel Abitua: My current genre attempt is a play. My other genre, that I am reviving after forty-six years of dormancy, is poetry. Forty-six years ago, my offerings were published in an anthology of college poetry. After this “short” break, I am back to poetry.
Scribe: What authors would you like to have coffee or a beer with and which beverage?
AA: For coffee, I would love to have the company of Jean Paul Sartre or Albert Camus. For beer, it would have to be the Bard, William Shakespeare. Let me add T.S. Eliot for tea.
Scribe: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what book would you want to have with you to keep you sane?
AA:  For being stranded in a desert island, or for taking with me to my coffin, it would have to be “The Four Quartets,” by Mr. Eliot.
Scribe: What have you learned from your association with the Writers League?
AA:  Let me respond this way, being a new member, I would hope to meet humans with a strong spirit of creativity still spinning in their heads and bosoms.
Scribe: Where do you see your writing taking you (or you taking it) in the future?
AA:  That is hard to say. I would venture to say that I hope someone reads, listens and learns. We must all read the words emanating from each other.  We must listen and learn, for there to be some advancement of our species.
Scribe: Is there anything else about you that you would like to share with the world?
AA:  No, not really. The only sharing I plan to do is what I put down on parchment, hopefully that would be the interesting part, the rest is not for sharing, and it could be boring.
