Scribe: In what genre(s) do you write?
David Bowles: I write Historical Fiction and Nonfiction.
Scribe: What authors would you like to have coffee or a beer with and which beverage?
DB: A beer or two with award-winning author Elmer Kelton and our mutual friend Felton Cochran, owner of Cactus Book Shop in San Angelo, Texas.
Scribe: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what book would you want to have with you to keep you sane?
DB: If I were stranded on a deserted island, I would take comfort in the Bible.
Scribe: What have you learned from your association with the Writers’ League?
DB: The Writers’ League of Texas classes and seminars I have taken were well taught and informative; about the evolving business of book selling.
Scribe:  Where do you see your writing taking you (or you taking it) in the future?
DB: Once the Westward Sagas series is finished, I have several Nonfiction works in the pipeline as well as a portfolio of Western short stories.
Scribe: Is there anything else about you that you would like to share with the world? An opportunity for blatant self-promotion!
DB: Many readers have said the Westward Sagas would make a great TV series. I agree the story of the Mitchell-Smith journey west; during the first one hundred years of our nation’s existence, would be my ultimate goal.
