“…I love writing and being creative and I’m grateful to be able to have time to write and to have a job where I get to work with writers all day”

Scribe: Welcome, writer! Tell us — what do you write?
Angela Yeh: YA fantasy and poetry.
Scribe: If you could choose one author to blurb your book, who would it be, and what would you want it to say?
AY: Dean Koontz – and it would say….”I am a new convert to YA Fantasy! This engaging and seat of your pants read is for people who love fantasy, and those that don’t. This is the book for you.”
Scribe: You have one book you’re allowed to push onto all of your friends, and they’re forced to read it to remain your friend — which one would you choose?
AY: Yes, that would be Come As You Are by Emily Nagoski!
Scribe: Tell us your WLT story.
AY: To be honest – I cannot remember. I might have first heard about the WLT in a podcast I was listening to on DIY MFA.
Scribe: Where do you see your writing taking you (or you taking it) in the future?
AY: To the world? To young teenager girls who didn’t know they were allowed to feel rebellious, that they can choose their own way despite how they’ve been raised or what they’ve been told. They’re allowed to be themselves. And that magic is real, of course.
Scribe: Here at the WLT, we love sharing book recommendations. What’s one book that has come out within the past few years that you couldn’t put down? (Bonus points if the book is Texas related!)
AY: That would have to be The Book of Two Ways by Jodi Picoult. Underlined, highlighted, read it in two days.
Scribe: Is there anything else about you that you would like to share with the world? An opportunity for blatant self-promotion!
AY: Actually, just that I love writing and being creative and I’m grateful to be able to have time to write and to have a job where I get to work with writers all day. I may not be living in a high rise loft, but I am happy.
Scribe: Where can our readers find more of you?
AY: I am @thatpluckygirl on Twitter and Instagram, and my Facebook is here.
