“I’ve been practicing gratitude lately so all I say is that I’m grateful for my next step. I know something good is coming.“

Scribe: Welcome, writer! Tell us — what do you write?
Lindsey Lamar: Suspense and Thriller.
Scribe: If you could choose one author to blurb your book, who would it be, and what would you want it to say?
LL: I would choose Gillian Flynn. She could say anything dark and twisty as long as she didn’t call me a cool girl. (If you know, you know)
Scribe: You have one book you’re allowed to push onto all of your friends, and they’re forced to read it to remain your friend — which one would you choose?
LL: The Beautiful and Damned. It’s the only book suggestion that I suggest anyways, knowing people won’t like it, but I still hope they might. I love Fitzgerald’s colorful language so much even without a tried and true plot. And how he embellishes almost every woman as anemic. (I’m anemic so he reached his audience) There’s just so much and so little to discuss about the work and I think that’s kind of ironic. But, in real life I can’t do this because I would like to keep my friendships.
Scribe: Tell us your WLT story.
LL: I recently joined WLT in August ’21 and attended my first meet and greet. I’ve been having so much fun already and want to become active in the WISE program.
Scribe: Where do you see your writing taking you (or you taking it) in the future?
LL: I’ve been traditionally published by a small publisher in April 2021. Since then, all I’ve been doing is studying the craft to make my next novel even better. I’ve been practicing gratitude lately so all I say is that I’m grateful for my next step. I know something good is coming.
Scribe: Here at the WLT, we love sharing book recommendations. What’s one book that has come out within the past few years that you couldn’t put down? (Bonus points if the book is Texas related!)
LL: Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder! So creative and thrilling.
Scribe: Is there anything else about you that you would like to share with the world? An opportunity for blatant self-promotion!
LL: If you think I’m interesting and want to chat about me or my work, or even buy it (because you’re just the best), you can hop on my author site: www.lindseywritesbooks.com and I am very reachable there.
Scribe: Where can our readers find more of you?
