“[I] enjoy the WLT here in Austin for the amazing series of webinars touching every possible issue of vital importance to writers.“

A member of the Writers’ League since 2010, Pamela lives in Austin, TX.

Scribe: Welcome, writer! Tell us — what do you write?
Pamela Ellen Ferguson: Have published 11 books of non fiction and fiction, some on both sides of the pond.
Scribe: If you could choose one author to blurb your book, who would it be, and what would you want it to say?
PEF: Journalist/author Angela Neustatter of London UK wrote a wonderful comment for the cover of my latest book, Crossing Lines. I could not dream of a better blurb! She wrote: “Such a rich weave of chilling story, shimmering descriptions of the environment, humor and suspense.”
Scribe: You have one book you’re allowed to push onto all of your friends, and they’re forced to read it to remain your friend — which one would you choose?
PEF: Kate Millett’s Sexual Politics, for the amazing political and literary way Kate inspired the modern women’s movement on every level.
Scribe: Tell us your WLT story.
PEF: Love the WLT! I am also a member of the NYC based Author’s Guild, but enjoy the WLT here in Austin for the amazing series of webinars touching every possible issue of vital importance to writers. I also loved joining the WLT table with a copy of the book I wrote for children “Sunshine Picklelime”. This was at the last actual Texas Book Fair – 2019? Such fun before Covid hit!!
Scribe: Where do you see your writing taking you (or you taking it) in the future?
PEF: Two books-in-motion – an anthology on PTSS I’m co-editing with a colleague. And my own evolving memoir titled “Cornish Cactus”
Scribe: Here at the WLT, we love sharing book recommendations. What’s one book that has come out within the past few years that you couldn’t put down? (Bonus points if the book is Texas related!)
PEF: The Followers: “Holy Hell” and the Disciples of Narcissistic Leaders: How My Years in a Notorious Cult Parallel Today’s Cultural Mania by (Austin based) Radhia Gleis.
Scribe: Is there anything else about you that you would like to share with the world? An opportunity for blatant self-promotion!
PEF: Like most authors I have had two careers. My first was as a global journalist turned author of an eclectic mix of fiction and non fiction that followed my investigative journalism. My second career? As a global instructor of Zen Shiatsu!
Scribe: Where can our readers find more about you?
PEF: You can find me at my website, www.pamelaferguson.net
