What I Write | Fiction, Nonfiction, Mystery/Thriller/Suspense, Memoir, Personal Essays, Narrative Nonfiction, Historical Fiction, Technical Writing, Business Writing |
Bio | Before my career in publishing began, I started in the theatre to learn scene and character, then moved to journalism for narrative and nonfiction. I’m two decades into writing fiction, with a thriller published (Viral Times, 2015) as well as a parenthood memoir (Stealing Home, 2019). More details about me at Austin’s Writer’s Workshop, where I work with authors. •• I’m revising Sins of Liberty, historical fiction about suffrage and the Catholic Church, inspired by my great grandmother’s role raising a child with a priest for a father. My grandfather was that son of a priest. •• I’m always looking for allies in authorship, and creative buddies for my Finishing School. Without it, I’m just not finishing books. I adore creating good characters and polishing story structure. I help a book earn its place in the world with readers, reviews, and results to admire. |
