HISTORICAL FIGURES
On February 26, 1864, William F. (Buffalo Bill) Cody was born. He was a huckster, a showman and, among other things, one of the first riders for the Pony Express. He served in the Civil War on the union side which garnered him the Congressional Medal of Honor. He is probably best remembered for Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. Members of his traveling show included female sharpshooter Annie Oakley and for one season Chief Sitting Bull. For this week’s writing prompt write a short story or essay about what life would have been like traveling with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.
